Inter Milan’s and Argentinian Mauro Icardi who was linked with a move with Arsenal has reported signed a five-year contract extension with Serie A giants, according to Mirror’s Football.

His new deal will the Nerazzurri’s will keep him at the San Siro giants until 2021. The Argentinian has seen his stock rise brilliant since joining the club from Sapdoria in 2013 and was handed the captaincy last year aged just 22.

Premier League sides Arsenal and Chelsea have both been linked with Icardi but it seems as though they’ll have to break the world transfer record to sign him.

His new deal, which will see him earn £5million-a-year, contains a €110million (£99m) buy-out clause, according to reports in Italy.
