Revealed: Schalke attempted to sign Arsenal defender

According to the latest reports in Germany, Schalke were keen on re-signing Sead Kolasinac this summer transfer market.

Against the backdrop of their pursuit of Kieran Tierney, it was regularly suggested that Sead could be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium and the left-back seriously connected with clubs either Premier League or abroad.

IKZ claims that die Knappen initially showed interest in a reunion with the Bosnia international last January and attempted again this summer only for the financials of the situation to scupper negotiations.

The Bosnian star joined the Gunners on a free transfer back in 2017 after six years at the Veltins-Arena and is said to be on around £120,000 per week.
