Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has tipped midfielder Aaron Ramsey to become Gunner’s future captain.
The French tactician admitted that it’s all there for everyone to see when asked whether Ramsey could become Arsenal’s captain in the future.
The 26-year-old has spent almost a decade at the North London club. Therefore, the midfield maestro himself is probably thinking of becoming the skipper one day.
However, the Wales international midfielder’s deal expires in 2019 and seeing England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain sign for rivals Liverpool this summer transfer window hit home for Arsenal faithful.
It made a lot of people realize that no matter how loyal one thinks a player is, they could still leave the club if they don’t see their playing career progressing.
Just like the Ox, Ramsey has suffered from recurring injuries throughout his career at the North London club. In fact, he’s stayed on the sideline for a total of 625 days, 248 days lone to recover from his broken leg.
However, the Welshman is a completely different player compared to the Ox. He has shown to all that at his best, he’s a world-class player, and during the London derby against Chelsea last weekend, the 26-year-old was incredibly brilliant.
