Former Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain failed to impress in yet another match since making his move from North London club Arsenal to Merseyside club Liverpool.
The forward started in England’s penultimate FIFA World Cup qualifier group match against Slovenia, as Spurs striker Harry Kane’s last-minute winner secured a place at next summer’s FIFA World Cup.
The Oxlade-Chamberlain completed a £40m switch on summer transfer deadline day, but has won just one of match for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
His recent form has been strongly criticised and there was no improvement in putting on the Three Lions Jersey on Thursday. The Liverpool forward continued to be an inconsistent figure and is clearly a player playing with very little or no confidence.
The 24-year-old versatile midfielder was replaced with 63 minutes on the clock and was seen kicking a bottle in annoyance as he entered the dugout.
The Chelsea bound player, until a last minute change of mind, has been mocked up and down England by football fans, including by Arsenal supporters who are now seemingly glad with his exit.
