Arsenal on-loan midfielder to Bournemouth Jack Wilshere has been fit since making the loan move and has been starring regularly for his side.
The England international has revealed that he would delighted for Arsenal if they won the Premier League.
Wilshere ascended the grades of Arsenal but he loan move was borne out of the plethora of options Wenger has and his inability to stay fit.
Arsenal have blossomed in his absence and currently sit three points behind league leaders Chelsea.
And Wilshere says he would be delighted if the Gunners could win the title – even if he would miss out on a winners medal.
“I’d be happy for them [if Arsenal won the title],” the 24-year-old told Sky Sports.
“Someone asked me if it would be strange, but I’ve been there for that long and I know the manager and we have a good relationship. I know that’s the one he wants the most.
“He’s hungry for that and he’s built a team over the years which now he feels – and a lot of people feel – is ready to really challenge.
“I’d be happy for them. Of course, it would be a little bit strange because I’m not there and you’d see all the celebrations, but I’m an Arsenal man, I’ve been there for many years, and I want them to do well.”
