Arsenal record signing Alexandre Lacazette has on Monday night made one Irish punter £375,000 richer.
A punter in the Ireland City of Dundalk, has woken up to riches – whopping £375,000 after correctly predicting the first goalscorer in six English Premier League matches over the weekend.
Including guessing that Arsenal and France international striker Alexander Lacazette would grab first goal against West Bromwich Albion, the unnamed man chose Leroy Sane for Man City v Crystal Palace, Belgian Romelu Lukaku for Manchester United v Southampton, Spaniard Alvaro Morata for Chelsea v Stoke, Egyptian Mohamed Salah for Liverpool against Leicester City, and Tomer Hemed for new boys Brighton v Newcastle.
The Irish Punter was apparently one of three Punter’s still in the running to win the top prize on Monday night but the other two Punter’s picked Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez and Robson-Kanu respectively.
Undoubtedly, the other Punter who picked Chile international Alexis Sanchez was fuming since Alexander Lacazette scored the Chilean’s free-kick from a rebound.
This is obviously not the first time that a big sum of money has been won by a punter when it comes to the betting game on the English Premier League. In 2016, an anonymous Punter placed £100 with top Bookmaker Betfair on Leicester City winning the Premier League title… the rest is history. The lucky punter won £200,000.
