Unbelievable: Arsenal join race to land young CSKA striker

Arsenal have joined Europe’s elite clubs in chasing CSKA Moscow forward Fedor Chalov – the player tipped to be the future face of Russian football – the latest reports say.

During two-and-a-half campaigns in the CSKA main team, Chalov has netted 27 goals and provided 14 assists in 65 league matches while leading the line, as well as making an impression in both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League.

According to the Mirror, other sides interested in the 21-year-old star include all five of Gunners’ Premier League top six rivals, German trio Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and AS Monaco.

The Gunners attacking players including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are undoubtedly the most dangerous part of manager Unai Emery’s roster, so it does not seem like they should be ignoring their defensive woes.
