Arse Talks brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsene Wenger has been known to always been shrewd in the transfer market, and that’s why some of the Gunners fans love him so much.
Over the course of the Frenchman’s 20 years managing the managerial affairs of the North London club, he has brought in players practically meant for nothing, players the media hardly mentioned but turned them into superstars within the space of a few months.
With the January transfer window now just a couple of months away, Wenger will no doubt be considering a few potential investments ahead of a title charge in the second half of the season; and you can expect the ever-prudent Frenchman to continue to buy low and sell high.
That being said, there are a whole host of players that, according to transfermarkt.com, have market values way below the £10m mark – and Wenger would do well to bring some of them to the Emirates.
With that, here are THREE players rated under £10m Arsenal need to sign in January…
Ante Coric is a dynamic attacking midfield player, and whilst Arsenal have a fair few of those already – Coric is bound to be a superstar.
His market value, according to Transfermarkt.com is just £8.50m – an absolute bargain in the modern market – and he will definitely be in the Premier League one day.
A tricky, technically gifted midfielder, Coric has drawn parallels with a few of the European football experts in the Tavern with Luka Modric – and that are high praise indeed.
Able to play further forward or slightly deeper; Coric could be the man for Arsene.
Ruben Neves, despite being just 19 years old, has all the talent in the world.
The midfielder is going to make it to a big club one today – but Arsenal could jump the queue and pick him up for, according to Transfermarkt.com, as little as £9.35 million in January,
A powerful, dominating central midfield player, Neves is the player that Arsenal have lacked in recent years – and he could be absolutely unstoppable alongside a player like Granit Xhaka.
At just 19, he has his entire career ahead of him; and a cut-price January move to Arsenal could see all the spoils go Arsene’s way.
In Petr Cech, Arsenal have, without doubt, one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.
Having joined from Chelsea last year, the Czech Republic international has continued his fine form for the Gunners – and looks every bit as good as he did at Chelsea.
However, Cech is now 34 – and he is nearing the end of his career. Wenger needs to prepare for the future – and Horn is the perfect man for that.
Currently playing for FC Koln, Horn is just 23 – but is already an established member of Koln’s first team squad. Reactive, technical, a great shot stopper – Horn has it all.
According to Transfermarkt.com, Horn’s market value is just £8.50m – an absolute steal in the modern market, especially for a long term solution like Horn.
The Arsenal fans would love to see him – think of how much he could learn under Cech!
