The strength of every team is usually a function of how good the midfield is. If its working well, then the whole team would definitely be doing well.
And so Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has heaped praise on Arsenal anchor man Granit Xhaka, claiming that his vision from the deep makes him outstanding.
Xhaka joined Arsenal from Borrusia Monchengladback in the summer but struggled for game time initially.
However, the Switzerland international has established himself as a key man in midfield for Arsenal following Santi Cazorla’s injury.
And Coquelin, who has made 22 appearances this season, has been impressed with Arsenal’s new midfielder.
Coquelin told Arsenal player: “His quality on the ball, his range of passing, passing the ball from deep [is great]. He has a final ball.
“He is a complete player. I don’t know how many caps he has for Switzerland and he’s only 24. He’s still adapting but he’s doing great.
“Any team would struggle [without Santi]. He’s been unbelievable since he signed here.
“I think the players who have played in his position have done well as well. Ramsey, Xhaka et al… you have to praise them as well.”
