The winter transfer window is still some months away, yet that has not stopped the rumour mill from churning out transfer stories though.
According to reports from Spain, it is claimed that we are close to sealing a deal for Fiorentina goalkeeper Giacomo Satalino. Further report can confirm that scouts from the club have been watching the player in action for his youth side.
The 17-year-old has been attracting rave reviews from the Italian press, so much so that Arsene Wenger’s men have taken notice of him. It now a matter of when he would be completing the move if report from tribalfootball is anything to go by.
The Gunners are blessed with immense talents in goal, and one begins to wonder why another player is set to be signed in that position. The likes of Petr Cech and David Ospina have that position well covered. There is also a certain Wojciech Szszesny who is currently on loan at Roma and is due to return next summer. The future is quite bright for the Arsenal, as players like Emi Martinez and Matt Macey are also considered as favourites for the future.
Satalino still has a contract until the summer of 2019, therefore his club are in no particular hurry to sell at all.
Personally, I think the signing of a top striker should take centre-stage cause that is the position we actually need legs instead of yet another goalkeeper who could stall the progress of the existing ones at the club.
