Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech is fit but will not play a part in Arsenal’s Europa League trip to Sporting CP, having returned to full training after their recent injury troubles.
The Czech goalkeeper has been left out of the side, with German stopper Bernd Leno set to start in Portugal.
Having recorded an impressive 3-1 win over Leicester City that featured an emphatic second-half performance, Emery is expected to make changes for Thursday’s Group E clash, with Sunday’s Premier League encounter against Crystal Palace also in Emery’s thinking.
Cech is not injured, however, with the goalkeeper passed fit after picking up a knock at Watford that saw Leno drafted in to start a couple of weeks ago.
Cech is reportedly likely to start against Crystal Palace on Sunday, making his return for the first time since his injury against Watford.
Leno will drop to the bench again, but will be given a chance to impress against Sporting in the Europa League.
