Liverpool will not be moving to sign Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer at the end of the season for two reasons, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Wales international midfielder’s current contract is set to expire in the summer and will not be renewed after the club withdrew their offer. He will now be leaving on a free at the end of the season after 11 years with the club.
Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with a move for him in recent times but it seems United will have a free path to his signature as Jurgen Klopp is reportedly not interested in the midfielder.
Liverpool will be refusing the chance because first, he doesn’t fit into the age profile of the kind of players Klopp wants to sign.
At 28 he would be the third oldest player out of the seventeen players that Klopp has signed since assuming office.
