Petr Cech – 6
The former Chelsea goalkeeper did pretty well with the few saves he had to make. Although he was absolutely beaten by West Brom’s Jay Rodriguez, the safe hand can hardly be blamed for that West Brom chance.
Laurent Koscielny – 6
The club captain needs to give more support to his fellow center halfs at times. Still looks like calamity awaiting in every game.
Shkodran Mustafi – 5
The German was lucky to not have conceded a penalty when he slid in roughly in the opening 10 minutes of the match. He needs to be more precise at the centre back of the Arsenal defence.
Nacho Monreal – 7
Busted forward pretty well and was not disturbed too much in defence. Should have tested Ben Foster when he found his way into West Brom’s defence brilliantly. Made a goal-line clearance.
Hector Bellerin – 7
Most of the team’s attacks came through him in the first half. At times, he was Arsenal’s most advanced player as he continues to enjoy the freedom of the wingback position.
Mohamed Elneny – 6
The Egyptian looked good in attack but needs to protect his defenders even more in the next 45 minutes.
Granit Xhaka – 6
Nothing special from him so far tonight as he’s been cautious. Needs to explore and get involved in the second half.
Sead Kolasinac – 6.5
Looks pretty comfortable with the ball on his feet and always create outlet for his colleagues to pass to. His power is needed in the second half.
Aaron Ramsey – 8
Despite few eyebrows when the starting lineup were announced, but the Welsh has made himself a nuisance so far, forcing them into a number of fouls and bursting forward well.
Alexis Sanchez – 7
Was unlucky, not to be on the score sheet yet as he had two free kicks in the first 45 minutes – the second freekick resulted in the opening goal. Gradually getting his form back.
Alexandre Lacazette – 9
Got in behind the opponents defence well and linked up well with his teammates. Needs more supply in the other half. His goal was just exactly why he was signed.
