Inter Milan have entered talks to sign Arsenal’s defensive target Joachim Andersen from Sampdoria, according to Calciomercato.
The Denmark international defender has been linked with a move to England in recent times with Arsenal reported to be one of the interested parties.
The Gunners recently did business with Sampdoria when they signed Lucas Torriera in the summer for £26 million and have been expected to return for Andersen.
Inter Milan have now stolen the lead as they have followed up their interest in the defender by opening discussions over a potential deal.
The 22-year-old defender joined Sampdoria from Twente in 2017 and has grown into a key performer for the Serie A side featuring in 10 league games so far this season.
