Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas has dropped a hint that a possible return to his previous club Arsenal next term, four seasons after he left the club by joining their London rivals.
The Spaniard made his name in the top-flight, netting his debut goal in the Carling Cup at age 16, but then left the North London club to join FC Barcelona in 2011.
But things became sour for him in 2014, and after the gunners failed to re-sign the World Cup winner, he joined Chelsea.
However, he’s currently out of deal at the end of the campaign, and on the possibility of rejoining the Arsenal he said via Marca:
“In seven months my contract ends with Chelsea.
“It will be 16 seasons playing at the highest level, over 750 games, a lot of training, travelling.
“I feel young and strong but maybe I can’t do 60 games a season. With my style I think I can keep playing for longer and obviously I want to keep playing for many years.
“Arsenal will always be in my heart and I will never forget them so why not return. You never know.”
Perhaps surprisingly, there seems to be a lot of Arsenal fans who would be willing to welcome Cesc Fabregas return to North London.
