As per newspaper Sport, Premier League giant Arsenal are prepared to appoint former FC Barcelona football director Raul Sanllehi to a role they call Director of Operations.
The 48 year old’s exit from the Spanish La Liga giant is yet to be completely sealed, but after a major shake-up at the Catalan club this summer he left his post.
Raul Sanllehi was believed to be unhappy with the exit of Brazil international forward Neymar Jr. to French Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint Germain – having played a major role in bringing the South American to the Catalan club in the first place – but will leave on good conditions with the Spanish club he’s been working since 2002.
He is reportedly, good friends with Ivan Gazidis, and understands a number of languages so could perfectly replace Dick Law.
Dick Law left the North London club in September to return to the America to spend more time with his family, and the Gunners clearly need to replace him.
Former Arsenal star Marc Overmars has been strongly linked recently, although those speculations have been played down from both teams. We’ll wait and see how this report plays out.
