According to The Sun, Premier League giant Arsenal are in the race to sign France starlet Harold Moukoudi.
The Premier League club, who defeated West Bromwich Albion by 2 goals to nothing yesterday at the Emirates Stadium, have been strongly linked with the highly rated defender ahead of the winter transfer window.
The 19-year-old defender, who has played three times for France’s U18 side, has appeared 11 times in all competitions for the French Ligue 2 side so far this term.
The Le Havre yougster, who came through the club’s youth ranks, is also believed to be a transfer target for French Ligue 1 rivals Nice and Bordeaux, as well as German Bundesliga club Red Bull Leipzig.
Seen as one of the hottest talent in French football, the report claim Arsenal are interested on luring the central defender to North London in January of next year, though any transfer deal in winter could see Moukoudi re-join Le Havre on loan till the end of the 2017-18 League campaign to aid his football development.
Arsenal tactician Arsene Wenger is keen to reinforce his defensive department as Germany international and club captain Per Mertesacker is set to retire at the end of the season.
