Several Arsenal players could leave the North London club next summer, with a lot of contract expirations going on, and so a major team reshuffle could happen.
Top class players like Spaniard Santi Cazorla, midfielder Jack Wilshere and Chilean Alexis Sanchez all have contracts that are ready to run out next summer, and with no signs of extensions just yet, they are still on course to exit the club.
However, a player that could yet agree new deal is German Mesut Ozil, at least as reported by Goal. Goal claims that Mesut Ozil is delighted living in the City of London, and has recently bought a new house in the City. At present, it is said, he has not ruled out remaining at the North London club beyond the confines of his existing deal.
His current contract, as per the Daily Star, is worth about £140,000-weekly.
His stay would be a huge boost for the Gunners, and not just with regards to his top quality on the pitch. A few of the Gunner fans have quested Arsene Wenger’s ambition, and they are convinced that the Gunners are no longer an attractive club for top quality players. Keeping Germany international Mesut Ozil would be a great way to convince them to come to the Emirates.
