Arsene Wenger seem to be undone in the transfer market as various reports have claimed that the French tactician has spoken to Roma in a bid to complete a deal for Leandro Paredes.
Given the injury-vulnerability of Arsenal players, The Sun claims Arsene Wenger wants to bolster his midfield options and the 22-year-old perfectly fits the bill for Wenger.
And they add that the French boss has already been in touch with his agent to discuss a possible transfer.
Roma signed Paredes from Boca Juniors for around £5m in June 2015 following a brief loan stint.
He was loaned out to Empoli last season and made 33 appearances for the club, scoring twice and picking up 11 yellow cards.
He’s been a regular face at Roma this term, making 14 appearances and scoring once under Spalletti’s watch this term.
The Sun add that Arsenal could sign him to provide competition and backup as Wenger’s side push for silverware this season.
His disciplinary record suggests that he could also add more steel to the Gunners’ engine room and help them fight on all fronts.
