Arsenal’s all-time leading goalscorer Thierry Henry wants to take Emile Smith Rowe to Monaco on loan as the youngster continues to impress.
This is according to Football.London via the Daily Star, who claim that the Arsenal youngster could be set for a shock move to the French Ligue 1 side in January.
According to the Daily Star’s report, Henry has been monitoring Smith Rowe for a number of months and “It is understood one of the first calls Henry made on getting his first managerial job was to check on Smith-Rowe’s availability, and a January move has not been ruled out.”
It would be a surprise if Arsenal under Unai Emery will sanction such January transfer, as the youngster has been a revelation so far tis season.
Smith-Rowe is also an integral part of Emery’s Europa League and Carabao Cup squad, with the attacking midfielder doing exploits to justify his selection in the team.
