Mesut Ozil took part in a Twitter Q&A on Wednesday, where he revealed everything from the best stadium he’s ever played in to his favourite subject at school.
One interesting question fired his way asked for his opinion on who is the best young player currently in the Gunners’ set-up.
Arsenal have always had a number of starlets, and this current crop boasts the likes of Reiss Nelson, who is pulling up trees in Germany, and Emile Smith-Rowe, who looks to be the real deal.
But despite the question appearing to be a difficult one to answer, Ozil responded without a moment’s consideration.
The man at the top of Ozil’s list is Matteo Guendouzi, who he referred to as a “brilliant player”.
Arsenal parted with just £6million to land the Frenchman from FC Lorient in the summers’ transfer window, and no one knew who he was prior to his arrival.
But he’s been sensational for the Gunners in his debut season, and has cemented himself a place in the first team at the expense of some very experienced players.
