Arsenal have sent their travelling fans a text message telling them to behave themselves against Brighton later today, according to a report on the Daily Mail.
The message was sent today morning at 8am, with the club hoping that Gunners’ fans don’t replicate their behaviour from the Carabao Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur last week.
Spurs midfielder Dele Alli was struck on the head with a plastic bottle by an Arsenal fan at the Emirates Stadium, whilst another fan was ejected from the stadium due to shouting anti-semitic abuse.
The text message said:
‘Reminder to travelling fans today, Arsenal does not tolerate discriminatory or anti-social behaviour. ARSENAL FOR EVERYONE.’
The fan who was shouting anti-semitic abuse was confronted by a fellow Arsenal fan, before a steward reported the incident and had the fan ejected from the ground.
Arsenal will be hoping to be able to focus on matters on the pitch against Brighton rather than in the stands as they look to push into the top four.
