If Arsenal must continue to push for the title, they the club must do everything within its power to retain the services of the key world class players within its ranks.
According to reports, Arsene Wenger has revealed that talks have begun with the agents of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil over and new and improved contract.
Both players are in the final 18 months of their contracts and talks have reportedly stalled over disagreement in their wage demands.
Both players are currently the most important players for Arsenal and the Club is desperate to see them sign new deal.
Speaking about the deal, when quizzed, Wenger said:
He said: “I would like to say the luxury in the modern game should be it is not only about the money.
“The players make good money anyway.
“You negotiate more with the agents than the player so we are in negotiations, of course it is normal.”
Sanchez signed from Barcelona for £35m in 2014 and helped the club win the FA Cup in his debut campaign.
Ozil arrived the season before and helped the Gunners in their 2013 success in the same competition.
