SPAL goalkeeper Alfred Gomis has admitted he’s a childhood fan of Arsenal and would love to play for the club in the future.
25-year-old Gomis currently plays in Serie A, having joined SPAL in 2017. In fact, the goalkeeper has spent his entire senior career in Italy, coming through the youth ranks with Torino and joining six different clubs on loan. Eventually, he made one of those moves permanent, when SPAL activated their option-to-buy this summer.
Quotes emerging from the country this weekend, in Gazzetta dello Sport, suggest he’d like a move to North London.
“My future? My wish would be Arsenal,” Gomis said. “I’ve loved the English team since I was a kid.”
