Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been backed to join either Liverpool or Manchester United when he leaves the Emirates, according to the Daily Express.
The Welshman will leave the Gunners after the club withdrew the contract they offered him, and the bookies believe he could swap clubs with United midfielder Juan Mata., while ESPN Pundit Paul Mariner believes he could move to Liverpool.
The Gunners are reportedly interested in Mata who played under Unai Emery during his days at Valencia and could reunited him with his former boss when his contract expire.
According to Alex Apati of Ladbrokes “No strangers to a swap deal, it looks as though Arsenal and United might do business again when the transfer window reopens.“
ESPN Pundit Paul Mariner believes the 27-year-old will most likely end up at Liverpool as they might look to bring him in as a replacement for James Milner if he joins them.
“He will (end up at a top club),” he said.
“Liverpool, Liverpool, hands down (would be the best club for Ramsey).
“He’s all about the team, he’s all about ‘whatever the coach wants I can do’, he can play in multiple positions.
“I personally think he’d play in the No 6, it’s absolutely ideal for him.
“When you look at Milner, is Milner getting on a little bit now?
“Maybe his minutes are limited even though he’s been sensational.
“Aaron Ramsey drops into that Liverpool squad for fun.
“I think it would be an incredible signing.”
