Fabio Vieira says he’s set to link up with the Arsenal team next week for full-scale training.
The 22-year-old, picked up a foot problem during international duty with Portugal a month ago, but is now close to returning to full training.
The former FC Porto player has not yet played for the Gunners during pre-season.
He told The Athletic: “It’s a small injury I got with the national team one month ago.
“Now I feel really good. I’m not training 100 per cent yet, but I’m running. Day after day, I’m improving. And in a few days, I’ll be back in full training with my team-mates.”
Vieira added: “I’m an offensive player, I like to make the last pass, and to help team-mates to score. And I like to score goals too.
