Premier League giant Arsenal got off to an impressive start in the UEFA Europa League group match. England international Theo Walcott managed to score the opener, with another England star Jack Wilshere playing a sublime pass into the way of the Englishman, who was starting to return to full fitness.
Wenger’s men managed to double the scoreline not long after, the opposition goalkeeper handed a pass straight to Theo Walcott’s feet which the winger made sure he buried into the back of the net.
Arsenal found themselves 3-0 up in just 25 minutes. Defender Rob Holding headed in the third from a well taken corner kick, which will surely give the youngster some much-needed confidence, something of which he has been lacking lately.
BATE Borisov got a goal back only two minutes after a cross, which Egyptian Mohamed Elneny really should have defended well. The Gunners started looking a bit shaky in defence but managed to keep the scoreline 3-1 at halftime.
The Gunners were awarded a spot kick in the second half which France international Olivier Giroud scored for his 100th Arsenal goal to make it 4-1. The North London club however conceded once again in the 66th minute after a couple of poor defending.
