According to reports coming from Ghana Soccernet, former Arsenal star Emmanuel Eboue has reportedly been diagnosed with the deadly virus HIV.
Speculations were widespread in Turkey that the 36-year-old right back had become infected with the incurable disease on Monday when Eboue’s representative Tekin Birinci posted on his personal Facebook account.
He wrote:
“Unfortunately is true [the news] that we [Eboue] are facing some medical problems about [Emmanuel] Eboue but is not right [appropriate] to make any comments about it [the medical issue] at the moment.
Tonight he [Eboue] will go to England and tomorrow [Eboue] will make the necessary [required test] medical checkups, so we [Eboue] will know how serious it [the medical condition] is…”
It was widely claimed that the virus was first found in his blood sample while the Former Ivory Coast full-back was undergoing a medical examination for the Cypriot club AEL Limassol where it was first detected the virus in his blood sample.
Emmanuel Eboue moved to Premier League giant Arsenal from Beveren back in 2004, staying at The North London club for seven amazing seasons before he moved to the Turkish League to play for Galatasaray where the defender won three Super Lig crowns, a Turkish Cup and two Super cups with the Turkish club.
